Sports Injuries

Picture
An osteopath examines and treats the whole body . . .
There's a golden rule for sports injuries known as RICE - rest, ice, compression and elevation which generally works pretty well, however sometimes there may be postural or habitual factors which predispose sports injuries.

Many practitioners who treat sports people will provide such treatment however injuries frequently recur, which would suggest that there may be underlying postural imbalances which are not being addressed.

An osteopath examines and treats the whole body to ensure that it's not just the symptoms that are addressed but the underlying cause also. He will also identify background factors and discuss strategies to avoid injury in the future.
